What distributors actually ask in a channel briefing
The questions that come up once the slides are closed and the buying desk talks about next month’s trucks.
After a few dozen briefings, the same practical questions return. Will chain pharmacies honour the promotional depth they floated last month? Are independent counters still substituting a familiar brand when the preferred SKU is short? Which province is quietly overstocked from a prior campaign?
These are not abstract market questions. They decide whether a truck leaves with three pallets or five, and whether credit terms stay open.
We structure channel briefings so the first hour covers evidence and the second hour works the client’s open purchase list line by line. That second hour is where the briefing earns its fee.
If your team only wants a slide deck to circulate, a written outlook letter is a better fit. If you need to leave the room with adjusted quantities, book the live briefing.
